Andrea is joy to learn from. I highly recommend taking the Layers Petals course and any of her other courses.

First time for me making my very own art journal from scratch - a lot easier than I thought! Great instructions, lots of advice on paints, paper and brushes. Lesson one is all about putting done the background, making those little marks, adding details, using different media - collage, washi tape, inks, crayons - whatever you have. Two episodes are devoted to painting those gorgeous ‘rosette’ flowers, loosely twirling the paint brush to achieve those swirls. The second lesson takes what you’ve learnt from lesson one, to apply theory and techniques to make your own beautiful art and to showcase on a wooden panel. The third lesson, Blooming Bouquet Painting, is the ‘icing on the cake’ - again using the know how gained in the previous lesson, Andrea takes you step by step on how to create your own ‘bouquet’ in beautiful colours - I was so pleased with mine - I’m a novice so to be able to create something so lovely, in a fun and relaxing way, is just fabulous.

I love a fun, color filled art class - this one is just the best! I love my little journals, I filled both and I love looking at my layered Petals for inspiration. I recommend this class to everyone. You will have lovely art to enjoy at the end and you will also enjoy the process because, somehow, Andrea teaches in a way that is both energizing and relaxing. You learn the technique and then just relax and enjoy colors.

Thank you Andrea, this was an amazing art course, it was a lot of fun! I learnt a lot of new techniques in mixed media and had the opportunity to explore making my own journal, working on a paper and cradle board and painting a bouquet on a canvas! So many wonderful new skills and techniques explored and learnt. I love your approach to teaching it is warm, encouraging and supportive. Thank you, I loved ‘Layered Petals’. This class was so much fun!!! I thought I couldn’t paint roses, but you can! Andrea guides you and gives you techniques for creating beautiful flowers in a few different ways. I had a blast! Andrea teaches to enjoy what you create, don’t worry or stress, just have fun!!!
