This week is for you if…

You want to sketch more, but:

  • You don’t know where to start

  • You feel intimidated by a blank page

  • You think you don’t have enough time

  • You’re tired of being hard on yourself creatively

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need fancy supplies.
You don’t need hours a day.

You just need a sketchbook, something to draw with, and about 10 minutes a day.

What Winter Sketchbook Week is about

So many people believe they don’t have time to be creative. Winter Sketchbook Week gently proves otherwise. By the end of the week, you’ll likely feel more comfortable opening your sketchbook, more trusting of your creative instincts, and more aware of how calming even a few minutes of sketching can be. This isn’t about changing your whole life. It’s about adding something nourishing into it.

“Andrea is that magic teacher who helped things click for me in sketching and make it a lifetime practice.” — Sherry M

Why this week matters

This week isn’t about making perfect sketches. It’s about showing up, loosening up, and learning to see differently. Over five days, I’ll guide you through approachable sketching sessions that build confidence through practice, encourage curiosity over perfection, and help your sketchbook become a calm, supportive place you want to return to.

What we’ll explore together! Each day builds gently on the last.

Day 1: Bud Vase Flowers
A soft, welcoming start focused on observation, simple shapes, and loosening up.

Day 2: Outside Inside
Learning to sketch everyday moments and places, even if you never leave your house.

Day 3: Urban Wonky Sketching
Letting go of straight lines and perfection, and learning a bit about perspective.

Day 4: Sketching from the Masters
Learning by looking. Borrowing ideas, styles, and inspiration without pressure.

Day 5: Thumbnail Sketches to Composition Ideas
Seeing how simple sketches
can grow into bigger creative possibilities.

My Sketchbook Practice

Keeping a sketchbook practice has been one of my best habits as an artist. It helped me explore new ideas that have led to incredible projects, stay disciplined in becoming a better artist, and most importantly, has been a therapeutic part of my day. I truly believe that being Creative is our Superpower. And once you tap into that energy, the world is at your fingertips. And all you need is 10-15 minutes a day!
